XPlay 5 will be the world’s first smartphone to come with 6GB RAM. Plus, it will be powered by SD820, and feature dual-curved display. But, how the smartphone will take advantage of all that RAM? Perhaps Vivo has worked out a way to dedicate some of that memory to the graphics unit, but we can’t know for sure at that point. Some people think that the Snapdragon 820 / 6GB RAM announcement only makes it seem more exciting. Vivo will unveil the Vivo Xplay 5 on the 1st of March. Vivo isn’t a known company to many people outside of Asia, but in homeland China, Vivo is very well known as smartphone makers thanks to its quality products.

But of course we have to mention the big guy, iPhone 7

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

If we were betting people we’d say the iPhone 7 will probably arrive in September 2016. Apple tends to stick to a schedule, and the last few iPhones were launched in September.

About its features, we can only throw a wild guess, but if we listen to all rumours are around we can say that it could be even slimmer than the 7.1mm-thick iPhone 6S, that it will have an all-metal design with a bezeless display.

The iPhone 7 could be in for a big resolution jump as Apple seems to be interested in glass-on-glass screens, which in turn opens up the possibility of a QHD or even a 4K display. A jump in resolution might not be the only way the iPhone 7 imitates Android though, it might also switch from an LCD display to an OLED one, much like Samsung uses on most of its phones.

Other smartphones to take a look at are: Blackberry Vienna, ZTE BLADE V7 and BLADE V7 LITE, ACER Liquid Z630S, Liquid Zest and Liquid Zest 4G, Liquid Jade 2, Bq Aquaris X5 Plus, HP Elite X3, Gionee S8. This last one, the company, Gionee for its S8 has brokered an interesting, unique feature with WhatsApp (the popular chat app). The S8 can log into two WhatsApp accounts, so you can keep personal and work communications separate.
